Purebred ragdoll kittens(this is a year in advance)

I have a pure bred Seal point ragdoll from texas with papers and in a year or so i wanted to have a litter of kittens

but i will not do so until i have some sutible participants to be owners in advance

I have always wanted a loving animal that would be affectionate at all times n that would be devoted to me n me only i have never found a pet like that until i found bella! she is a big soft ball of love n therapy ne time im sad shes rite beside me all she likes to do is cuddle n sleep n follow me around.I LOVE HER and i am so addicted to ragdolls! i plan to own a future cattery also now.
There great for apartments,They are defenatly NOT out door cats i will not sell them to ne one if they will be letting there cat outside by themselves. There very smart and easily trainable they can learn to go on leashes so you wont have to feel guilty about keeping it in all the time. There awsome with other animals n kids too. I garantee if you have some extra time n love to give them theyll be your best friend forever. Also if your looking for a nice xmas gift for someone i have numbers available of an established breeder in coquitliam with many various coulor points availible there 500 each. But be forwarned..they will never leave you alone and some ragdolls are notoriously HUGE
see for your self

you might as well be posting this in the classified since you're selling cats

i'll retract my previous comment. seemed like you had your parents or someone buy you a cat from texas

Wait, so I can't express my opinion in your thread now? You want it blocked? I'm glad you think my opinion is worthless, but this is a public message board.

So you adopted the cat, good... I'm less disgusted. Going off on me about it is silly, being that you never mentioned any of this previously.

However I still don't believe that breeding your cat is OK, and you can't change that, and you can't stop me from posting my opinion.

An avid cat lover loves cats, not a breed.

Does that go the same for dog breeding? What about horse breeding? Or birds for that matter... cows, pigs, guinea pigs, hamsters....

I don't see what your problem is with breeding. I love all dogs, should I go and adopt one from a shelter or buy myself a purebred dog that I like? Am I a bad person for doing it? Is the person who bred the dog a bad person for doing that? Just becasue you love all cats, dogs, whatever, it doesn't mean that you can't have an affinity for one certain breed in particular. I for one don't see the wrong doing here.

Don't get me wrong... I just got a cat about two weeks ago that I adopted through the SPCA but I don't think it's right to rip on someone if they are looking to breed a cat. At least she's taking steps (albeit on a raver message board which may not be most effective) to ensure that the kittens are not homeless upon birth. Most breeders don't necessarily take the time to do that. Homeless cats are due to irresponsible owners more than any other factor I'd say. Why don't you go rip on the guy who doesn't bother to fix his cat and when the cat has kittens ties them in a bag and throws them over a bridge? In my opinion that is far worse than a breeder who is willing to make sure that each kitten goes to a good home.

Just my $0.02...trying to even up the argument here a bit.

And evening it needs ;).

I don't think breeding is OK, and my opinion won't change.

I agree that most homeless pets are to do with irresponsible owners, but also clueless owners... and that is what I would class 'babystylez' as. I don't think she has a clue -- if you look in the other post she even mentions that pets with papers are better looked after because the owners spend more money on them. (wtf...?)

An trust, I do RIP into the irresponsible owners... I just felt this girl needs a clue before she jumps into any of this.

I think I can see and agree wtih Larurne on this. Our family has always taken cats from the SPC or off owners who just dont want their pet anymore.

Its kind of like our ppl population problem. Why bring more children into the world when there are thousands of orphans who could have their whole life changed by a familey in a 1st world country? I may have one or two children of my own one day... but if the money is good enough... I will definently take social responsibility and take care of others first and adopt.

thanks guys and no ldub your comment didnt go over my head i just didnt feel there was ne thing i needed to disscuss ne further that i didnt already disscuss b4
bungalo-thanks its okay i wasnt being very informative

cnd_brdr-thanks for evening it out,I love ragdolls because there the farthest thing from a cat you can train them to go for walks, there not skiddish as long as there with there owner, all they do it sleep n eat n follow you around till you sit down so they can lie in you lap on there back for tummie rubs,Now tell me how manny tabby cats like doing that 24/7.I have an absolute passion for animals even more so than humans, acually i have no passion for humans lol everybody seems to focus on them ne way.Like i said i plan to volunteer for spca because i need credits and theres nothing i like better than being around animals, well besides a good rave or a house party and music and food n clothes:Dlol No body ever focuses all the miss-treated sickly animals in asia and other third world countries,so i guess thats were i come in NE WAYS off topic glad this didnt escalate ne bigger

and YEAH hahahaha i know this isnt the greatest place to post something about animals.but its convenient and free and its a start.

if ne one is intrested once so ever look at the link i posted for pics and information, even if your not look! there so adorable.

You still haven't convinced me that that comment did not go over your head...

Not that I don't think volunteering for the SPCA is a great thing, but it's tough there because you do see a lot of animals put down. There are a number of grassroot truly no kill cat/animal shelters out there that you may find even more rewarding to volunteer at, as you are given the chance with older, sicker cats to actually help them, and get them better.

In regards to your comment about ragdolls being cuddly and tabbies not, that is not true... sure certain breeds may be predisposed to certain personalities -- but in cats I really have never known one breed to be nicer than others. Also, you can train almost any cat to go for a walk (or even use a toilet for that matter) -- you just have to convince it to wear it's harness.

There are many people who dedicate their life to animals in third world countries, and many world wide cruelty prevention organizations... not to say another person wouldn't help -- but you aren't the first person to focus on it.

I'm not saying I know everything, but I do have lots of experience from volunteering at the SPCA, Meowaid, Orphan Kitten and even working at Veterinarian offices... I see the good, and the bad. I have developed my own opinions from this experience, but it does evolve if someone can make a good enough point. As well, I foster the sickest cats from my shelter -- ones that would not have made it unless given the chance. I have had cats destined for death row, cats with leukemia, Feline Aids, cats that require medication twice daily, cats with diabetes... all diseases we would not kill a human for, but most people would not think twice about a cat. I have seen people bring kittens into at vet and request to pay to have them put down because they can't afford them... people give up their oldest cat to a shelter because it didn't like their new kitten.

I don’t expect everyone to want to have a terminally ill cat or anything, but I at least would like to think that they are fully educated and understand the full consequences of their decisions.

And a couple of last things -- have you ever dealt with an unspayed cat before (I'm not going to lecture you on this point... as much as I want to...) Have fun trying to control her/sleep when she goes into heat.

As well, you may be proactive trying to find good homes for these cats, but you can never know how many kittens you are going get.

i know im not the furst but there are very few compared to the ppl who work on kids n such.

This is true, but some can be crazy. I don't have very much experience with this as all of mine have always been fixed but what I've heard i'll share with you.

You just need to be very careful while she's in heat because she's going to try anything to get some :P. It's not so hard in the winter to keep her inside but in summer you need to watch windows/doors etc. Last thing that you are going to want in this case is for her to get knocked up by some alleycat.
They can bleed, not much that I know of that you can do about this -- i'm sure google.ca might know something.
I've heard horror stories about the noise a cat in heat can make, a co-worker of mine was not willing to spay their cat while it was in heat because it costs more, but suffered a severe lack of sleep during the heat...
There can also be a problem with males cats trying to get at her if they have somehow picked up the scent etc.

It was nothing personal at all, I would have gone after anyone.
It's possible she just is in a mild heat. How long have you had her for?
