yep, i do agree those prices are rediculous, even for new years.

I only remember paying $55 for New Years 2004 at The Plaza, and that was 2 weeks before the party...

no kidding ... and frankly , the line up isn't even all that crazy .... if atleast there was a sick line up , i would see why it's so expensive ... but it's an "ok" lineup , at the cost of something you would expect for a Tiesto show or something on newyears .... no offence ... but if it's gonna be a so called "Sold out show" , they realy shouldn't need to jack the prices up so much ... they would make their money back either way .... i smell greed here ... Some one is trying to pull in the Cash .... oh and by the way ... THERE IS STILL OVER A MONTH TILL NYE ..... Just imagine how much tickets are gonna cost a weak prior to the event !!!! GOOD LUCK PEOPLE !!!

for all the people whining about the price. the solution is simple. dont go

I know it is easy for me to say cause i dont have to pay to but lets analyze this here for a sec and see if the price is really that ridiculous. Lets take dooms night as an example or any otehr solid massive. Starting price $45. NYE starting price $60. a difference of $15. As most of you seem to know and understand, NY's prices are more exspensive. Venue, Dj's, the list goes on. Tickets are $70 now where as for any other party it would be $55 rite now. Is the $15 difference really not that reasonable? Just my 2 cents thats all. i know either way it is rough to pay so much

that's a good perspective.. but let's also look at the other situation.. there are more locals booked here than headliners. At Doom's night there were a few more headliners than this time. LOCALS are good, no doubt about it.. infact i prefer them more than headliners a lot of the time. But they get paid less than headliners. By adding 15 dollars to each ticket seems justified indvidually but if u look it as a whole... 15 dollars x 1000 tickets... thats' $15,000 solid corp makes, $15,000 that wasn't made at doom's night. Demand was high during Doom's night, and because this happened, it seems quite "JUSTIFIED" that ticket prices go up. It's justified in a economy world, where that's how money goes.. and if people are willing to buy tickets, then they did the right ticket prices.. If they lose customers on the way, it's ok because it will be made up with those extra costs to each individual ticket. So u have less headliners, more locals who get paid less, meaning solid makes more money off of you because it's "New Years" and nobody wants to work. I'm not sure that's clearly justified in my opinion because that's really just a bad reason as an excuse but if ur gonna go buy tickets, do it now and dont be stupid later.

i definatly agree with you that there are more locals this time and not as much headliners as dooms or other solid massives. You also understand that things are more exspensive. You said $15 x 1000 = an extra 15 g's. The question i have for you is do you know just how much more each of the headliners cost for New Years as compared to any other time? The differnce "could" just mean that much more. All and all i totally understand what people are thinking. Simply all i can say is if you think its too high its simple, just dont go then.

agreed.. just dont go if it's too high.. but what u also probably didnt take into consideration is.. if we factor in all the amount of people allowed in to the rave.. 5000+... 5000 x 15.. that's 75,000.. im sure it's not gonna be THAT MUCH extra for everything. that's a lot of money. im sure the costs would be covered well within the price range it was before.. they probably made at least a hundred grand+ from the last one.. that's A LOT, now factor this in. lost prob like 25000 but u gain 50000 extra. Again.. all within the works of economy.

once again u make some good points and so have i. we seem to both agree with each other to some extent. a simple way i look at it is its new years, shit cost more, a mere $15 extra just cause its new years is ok. not great but its pretty much the biggest blow i will allow. an extra $10 would of been nicer. an extra $5 just wouldn't hapen lol. oh wells like i said, price too high dont go, price is ok with you then go.

by the way are u gonna go?

hmmmm.... welll ... sorry to break the news to you "e boy" but tickets are already out ... and they got released @ 75 bucks a pop .... that's $30 more expensive then dooms night , not 15 ... do the math ... secondly .... the tickets that were out for freeking $75 are already running low .... so .... lets see if you can figure this one out all on your own .... yes .... that means they are jacking the price up even more and there is still a good month to go till NYE .... so .... lets do the math .... Tickets are $30 more expensive .... Line up is average ... venue is "OK" @ best if you ask me , and i'm positive the tickets are gonna be over 100 withing the next 2 weaks ..... so .... plaza raves were waaaaaay better if you ask me .... and they were never this expensive to my understanding .... so you tell me .... is it realy worth is to dump that much money to go to a rave with 90% locals and average headliners ??? iono ... frankly i'm a student my self ... and i don't think i will ever pay that kinda money amonth prior to a party .... last year i went to afterhours on new years , paid 40buck ... and had the time of my life .... and it went on till 4 in the afternoon the next day .... no party should be that freeking expensive , not at this point in time atleast ... there's my two cents ....
