for cd players tho i would say get 1000's they may not be the very best out there, but chances are if you are going to use a cd player live, then thats the one that will be there waiting for you, so with the same dynamics of owning 1200's because thats what you will use, keep that in mind |

I'd suggest a Pioneer CDJ 1000... I've got 1... and I'm selling my decks to get 2 more. I really like this thing... it's just like vinyl... with more possabilties. and now with direct to digital (not vinyl rip) dj mp3 stores available... it's very intisive to play on cd... not just for self producted stuff, also it's great for sample use and using loops from any track.

there are so many out there, the new technics ones are fuckin amazing, IMO. pioneer 1000's are industry standard, denon 3000's and 5000's are great and you have so many features for example, with the 5000's you have dual output and a large on board memory, so you can put a song in then eject the cd and put another one in and mix into it all from the same deck. technics ones are super sweet and really easy to use. numark ones are big and full sized which is nice and they have 5 kg's of touque so they are beefy.
but i gotta say that i really love final scratch and now that FS2 has released, 1.5 if getting pretty cheep, i think like $400 or something and with that you keep everything that your techs have, cause you use them with the system |
