if i recall correctly you spin hardcore...so fitting 18 tracks...hell, even 30 isnt a problem with trance and hard trance...12-15 is pushing it if you want to fit both peaks of the song (which has been the trend lately with most dj's i know). |

11 tracks on my last mix that was 60 minutes.
So i guess you're right on that part.. Yeah, trance is hard to spin and a lot of dj's are playing out the tracks. I'm starting to learn how to not add the second peak and just mixing it in after the first peak. But shit goes wrong, Airscape - L'ezperanza for example, after the first peak. The signature will go off and the new bar will start on a 3 instead of a 1. So unless you've got a track with a short intro. Then your mix will be superly off and you'll eventually trainwreck. I was impressed with myself when I was only putting in one peak at Apex. I'm one of those dj's who love to get the mix going as long as possible. Learned it with acid techno, putting it with trance. |

i agree m8!
i spin progresive trance now, and im all about keeping those 2 - even 3 monuite mixes going, i love it, lots of room to play around in but again, keeping those tracks to one peak, can be very difficult, but if done properly can add very nice flow and keep people interested alot more:D -Bryan |
