I'm sure someone will be asking for usage instructions, so here goes...

How To Use The Swap Magic Discs?

PS2 CD Discs:

# open the lid on your PS2Cover
# place Swap Magic "CD" Disc in and close lid
# power ON PS2 console and wait for prompt
# open the lid & replace Swap Magic "CD" Disc with your PS2 CD-R backup
# close the lid and press X on your gamepad
# a BLUE Border means it will boot-up & a RED Border means it will not (bad burn)
# enjoy your game!

PS2 DVD Discs:

# open the lid on your PS2Cover
# place Swap Magic "DVD" Disc in and close lid
# power ON PS2 console and wait for prompt
# open the lid & replace Swap Magic "DVD" Disc with your PS2 DVD-R backup
# close the lid and press X on your gamepad
# a BLUE Border means it will boot-up & a RED Border means it will not (bad burn)
# enjoy your game!

HD Loader setups are a tad bit more difficult (not to mention expensive) for people to operate - copying games to HDD, etc.

But don't get me wrong, I sell these too. If you're interested in one, let me know, but I personally recommend the flip-top for ease of use...

I have a PS2 which does not load. New games or old, if I sit there and try, try, try I might get a load out of her. But its become ridiculous. Can you fix this? As well as mod chip her at the same time? Please contact me via msn [email protected] if your able.

Either way, here are the prices...

HD Loader (software only) = $48.00
HD Loader + 120GB Maxtor HDD (compatibe w/ HD Loader) = $160.00

Now you can see why I push the Flip-tops rather than the HD Loader... they're cheaper, just as effective, and more user friendly!

Correct. Above I am referring to HD Loader (the one you originally asked about).

HDAdvance (software only) = $56

I do not offer compatible 200GB HDD's though - you'd have to go buy your own @ A-Power or something similar.

Absolutely. So if you had a 120GB HDD, on average, you'd be able to stuff about 40-80 games on the drive (depending on the size of the games of course).

Some people also say that intensive games (San Andreas, FFX, etc.) run smoother from a HDD. However, I have a newer PS2, and can't tell the difference between the two.

nah... not really. some of those guys want $150 for a modchip install - it's ridiculous, they get those chips for like $30 tops. i wouldn't even want to know what they'd charge for a fliptop or hdloader setup.

We have a wafer PS too, works swell. Sorta bitchy with the on/off switch, heh. It's our old one I wanna fix/mod up for copy use.

Mod chip plus install $100 or at the main place i go to $120 plus ur choice of 2 ps2 dvd games

HD loader - buy the hard drive yourself and install is free plus the program. or around $20-$30 for install if ur not a frequent customer they know. in otehr words (price quotes from atic.ca) $130 for a 160 or 200gb hd

to add i dont want you to mis understand my intent here. i am not trying to bash you or to say you over charge. Your services do sound good, your knowledge of this stuff seems to be good and im sure you offer some good service.

Out of curiosity how much do you charge people for chips plus install?

I stopped installing chips. I was doing Magic V installs for $80 - I did about 50 advertised through Buy&Sell (which is still my main attraction point), and decided to go to Fliptop's when my wife had a baby, and I didn't have 2-3 hours to do a 23+ wire install anymore.

PLUS - Who wants a modchip when you can't play online? Lame.

yea the whole cant play online with the mod chip does blow but only to those who care. My personal preference is that i dont care. I stick with a computer to do my online gaming although the option of having to play ps2 online would be nice, however i doubt id use it. ALways the pros and cons with things isnt it.

the nice thing about ps2 online gaming is that there's a one time charge (the network adapter [unless you have a new slim ps2 - which i have fliptop's for as well]) and that's it. unlike xbox's online system, ps2's is free. for pc, you pay large for a valid product key to play online.

and yes, you're absolutely right - i'm not targeting everyone. i'm targeting people who don't want to be held back by the constraints of a modchip. =)
