venues?

My friend and I are planning a music event for this Saturday and we had a few venues lined up but they all fell through. We are looking for a space that is available for rental for the night of Saturday, May 14th. It's for a pirate party. our events are fully supervised with security and a set-up/clean-up crew. how much are you looking to pay for a venue?

you probably know that they're not too cheap.

I have a few connections to help you out. but finding a venue this close to the party doesnt look like it could happen.
I feel sorry for you if you have all the sound, lighting, tickets sold, dj's confirmed..

We've found venues the day before our events... a few times. Fuck we even planned a party and got a venue in 12hrs... (party was that night)

The party is still happening. We've got somewhere to put it.
Man, I wish we could have it on a freakin' ship. Goddamn.
Yeah, we've also found venues the day before and stuff. Not that we weren't looking until then. We always get one, and then it falls thru at the last minute. You can make plans, but plans change.
Anyway, for future reference, I would still love to find out what's out there. I understand the whole "fishing hole" dealy, but at the same time, maybe only tell people who you trust as promoters and know will RESPECT the venue and not fuck it up so no one else can use it again. Cuz there's gotta be good parties, and they shouldn't stop just cuz people won't share. Just know who you are sharing with.
Not saying that that is anyone's intention, but...ya know what eye mean.

Seriously I drive by this place every now and then and I think someone should look into it. Tiny community hall, only a few houses near....sorta out in the boonies though but only a 15 minute drive from the highway.

most people in abbotsford probably don't even know about this community hall thing. it's up past auguston.

Good info...with Summer coming look for bush parties in the Valley, and indoor events in the lower mainland. Put on in part by Jive

Oh yeah the Barn parties at Heritage Center....my ears are going to bleed.
