like honestly.. pvd doesnt care if you buy his cds.. he doesnt care that you're pirating that shit.
to have him playing on new years eve costs (from what i've been told) costs 75,000 us.. I wouldnt care if people are pirating cds if i was making that kind of money...... for one stinking 2 hour set! its not like this guy is ever going to die out like a rockstar or rap artist (maybe to old age or a cocaine incident), I have tracks from him from the early 90's.. Back before the song that (in my opinion) made uplifting trance (Robert Miles - Children) came out. Its insane Yoji has been at it forever sven vath richie hawtin dj snowman Dj Sakin dj tiesto Airscape hardfloor corsten scooter Art of trance the list goes on and on.. So the point is... famous producers who grace the decks at an 80,000 guest venue... dont really care about cd's.. But if you have small time producers and dj's.. this entire topic doesnt include them, and that's where i'd care about cd sales.. gotta promoter your name and try to make some money out of it. But i'd really frown upon if there was a dj who had an excellent reputation and making tons of funds during parties... started going crazy about lack of cd sales. That's my rant (ppcock was extremely wasted during this post, if it doesnt make sense.. just give me good karma for trying) |
