should mention that "nev" and "carrie" werent one of those a-holes. ps: get a job |

www.jobbank.gc.ca or something like that.
I applied to a bunch of places there. next time ask for places to look for jobs, not for the job itself |

The more you do it the easyer it gets. Im guessing the two of you looking for jobs are fairly young and new to this. First few jobs that came to mind our coffee shops (for early shifts) tella marketing, retail, shopping markets, or see if there are any jobs in somthinf you may be itnrested in teh future (ex. I did daycare before working in schools)
here are some tips... Resume -neat -tripple proof read -surch on line for samples -short and sweet Cover letter -Resurch the job area your applying for -serch on line for samples *one applicant I had made a very enthusiastic cover letter just for a coffee shop. Short and sweet, but he gave us the idea that he loved coffee and loved working with ppl... we loved him from the sound of his letter. Handing out Applications/Resume's -Usualy I ask for the manager if possible... i dont trust the emplyee's -Be ready to be interviewed -Be dressed and present yourself as you would in an interview -Speak with enthusiasim and confidence -Be flexable and simple at first... managers cant stand employee's who can only work at stricked times. After your hired than you complain and whine about yoru hours :p -Don't make it out like you just want a job... like I said be enthusiastic like you want to work for them and like their workplace and what they do... becuase passion makes better employees. It's alot of work... especialy if you havnt done it alot before. However there are ALOT of places hiring so good luck. |

I'm looking for a job myself and applied at a bunch of places online. I also updated my resume, but I can't figure out what to put as my objective, any ideas? Also is a cover letter really necessary?
Tomorrow I'm going out n' applying everywhere and faxing out so many resumes that the fax machine is gonna get too hot and it'll burn to the ground :P |
