is that all i'd need to make my computer connect to the internet? we have internet connection in the living room through shaw, but my computer is in the bedroom and we don't have cable in there - and computers just aren't as much fun when there's no internet :(

so, would i need to buy anything else, or do you just hook a router up to the modem and everything just works?

Your computer needs a wireless network card.
Check th back of your copmuter and if you see a antenna sticking out then you have one.
if you don't see an antenna then you don't.
