wanted: one bedroom or studio apt, downtown

i'm planning on moving on october 1st. i'm looking for a 1 bedroom or studio apartment in the downtown/westend/yaletown area. i'd prefer if it had a balcony, but i'm not too picky. something $1000/mo or less. anyone have any leads? thanks!

I can give you the # for my building manager if you'd like, I live on Robson and Cardero. No balconies though, but the prices are pretty good.

if you can wait a few months, i'll have an opening $750.. in suite laundry, i work for shaw so you get cheap movies and 440 channels.
you'd get a rad room.. swimming pool, weight room etc.
