WTB: External sound card

I'm looking for an external sound card. FireWire interface is prefered (but USB1.1 or USB2.0 is acceptable as well). Must have at least 2 recording inputs.

Anyone have one?

Mine isnt for sale...... but if you're looking for something cheap and decent, check out the audigy 2 nx. 60$ USD cant go wrong!

I'd like something more... professional. I just had an Audigy2 ZS Platinum crap out on me. A few months ago the left channel in the Line In input of it started giving cracking and popping sounds on recordings, and now it's doing it for both channels and very loudly. It's fucked.

I'd like something along the lines of AT LEAST M-Audio and better. And external this time because it will be connecting through FireWire or USB and if something goes wrong, I will know what the problem is (whereas with internal it would take a long time to figure out what was actually causing the problem).

ahh yeah..

I didnt do too much shopping around, I was looking for an m-audio originally, but my buddy gave this one to me so good deal for me. I just do the odd recording though, dont really use it for anything else that that.

someone was selling an m-audio firewire a little while ago - decent card but i think it only has 1 stereo input tho

edit: nm it's 4 in (2 stereo ins)

it's the card i have and i like it pretty nicely

im thinking of selling my 002r if you want to step up to that....im not sure yet..im still kinda tossin around the idea....

meh, in a couple months when im off to new zealand ill definatly want sell it and get a more compact front end.....i dont want to cuase its my baby. but it dosent fit in a backpack/.
