wanting a new job.. help?

I've come to the conclusion that I am just not cut out to be a bill collector. I love the people I work with, and the atmosphere is awesome but the job itself just isn't me and I can't seem to adapt to it. Sometimes I even dread going to work, and am always hoping that I don't get in shit cuz I'm not collecting enough money or making enough calls. :(
So, my question here is... is anybody's work currently hiring? Or does anyone know of anywhere that is hiring? What are some really good sites for job hunting? Are there any tips you can give me to help me find something better? Every little bit helps. :)
I'm looking for a good paying job, none of this minimum wage crap, something upwards of $12/hour preferably. As for job experience.. I've done housekeeping, front desk, call centre, serving/bussing, a small bit of promo'ing and I have even installed carpet and lino before.

And I know someone else who is currently in the same kinda boat as me, so feel free to post other kinds of jobs too. Thanks.

outbound call centers suck..... especially for bill collecting.... There are however alot of call centers in vancouver (inbound) I mainly used monster.ca ...workopolis... and recently been looking through the items through craigslist.... Recently I've seen other jobs like "Beer Delivery Driver" for a company called dead frog brewery (lol) and a parking lot attendant over at the IMPARK locations in downtown vancouver... unfortunantly the starting wage however is $10-12 an hour....

I was once a collection agent ,too.I got fired because I couldn't be mean. I felt sorry for some people, probably because I have been in the same situation as them. That job sure did suck ass.

If you have serving experience, why not try that again? That's what I do.I love having cash at the end of every day.

I'm going to need to find a job soon, too.I move to Vancouver from Calgary on the 25th or so.I don't have any suggestions on where to apply, but I do have a website for you to check out.It's got a lot of job postings in a lot o fields.

only problem is a lot of solid places to work dont advertise on CL
you have to dig a little on their webpages.
(see rogers, fido, telus, bell ect)

^ Ideally I'd like to go back to school.. but I want to have at least a little bit of money saved up first. And I'm not even 100% sure exactly what I want to take as there are a few things that really interest me. :)

Its all about who u know, not what you know! Ask all your friends or ppl who work at a place that u would like to work at. Alot of the best jobs out there are never posted anywhere and usually just ask current employees for references. good luck! :)

Interview went well.. but they are needing someone for that real estate place like right away, but I can't exactly do that as I have to give my work 2 weeks notice. :( He's gonna keep my resume on file and keep his eye open for something with a little more warning.

^ No way. It's not good to burn your bridges, and I may want to use them as a reference one day anyways.
