It sounds like a great idea, but don't go there planning on getting drunk. They give you a 4 ounce glass that you can fill up 3 times, so basically a beer and a half. Then it's $5 for every 3 glasses.
Luckily, last time I went, I bumped into a buddy who bought a roll of the same tickets they give you for beer, from a dollar store.. I got about 50 free beer tickets, but only had about an hour to use em. Needless to say, I took advantage of the opportunity.

I went to a "media"-event, like this, @ Plaza of Nations a few years ago.
A friend used to work @ Shaftsbury, and couldn't attend, so she gave me her pass. Whoa. I got really stinkin' hammered! That was the first time I tried the wiles from Unibrew de Quebec. Their weakest beer was 6.5% and the strongest was 9%! Maudite, la fin de monde, et deux autre. I wish I was better at names, because there were a couple of brews from the interior BC that were just fucking VILE! One tasted like it was brewed from a basketball teams gym socks!!! (I've got an imagination, alright?!) Regardless, booze-fests RULE! Frosty (Ein prosit, ein prosit...)

chad if we end up going I will let you know. see you tonight for sushi!!! I can see plaza of nations from my living room so it would be a quick stumble home... Ya I was wondering about the $5 for 3 beers! I was like WOAH! but figured it was taste tester size.

I don't remember so well, due to the senility and the fact that I was good and shit-faced. I'm pretty sure they were green, and on one of those rolls. I believe they said "beer" on them, but I'm kinda hazy. I'd suggest going in early, getting your free tickets, then taking a trip to the nearest dollar store and match em up. You could even sell people tickets for like a buck each, and make some extra bling while you're there.
