How do u deal with making life altering decisions?
K,
so you're torn between doing something that is comfortable and right and will lead you in a safe and wholesome lifestyle. or something that is different, exciting, unpredictable and exotic. trouble is you dont know which way to go. and you're afraid you'll make the wrong decision in the end. how do u make the right decision? why is it so hard? how do u know its what is right for you? suggestions? ideas... explore..... |
|

@ Soo... that depends what other obligations are already in place.
I'm fairly logical when it comes to stuff like that with a healthy dose of "living on the edge" now and then. Lay out the pros and cons of both things. Make sure you understand the risks... make the decision that best for you. |

what if the pros equal the cons.. seriously.. and you want to take that last step and go forth.. but theres something holding u back.
and what is that thing that holds u back? why be a chicken shit, or are you just being logical?... sooo frustrating.. |

Close your eyes and look into your heart to seek guidance as to which path you should take and follow it.
As long as YOU are happy with the decision then there is no such thing as 'wrong' decision. The only 'wrong' decision I know of is one that you waited to long to make and as a result you miss out on an oppourtunity. |

i made the exciting choice. zero regrets even though it didn't work out for me. i went from making in the 70K a year range programming computers, living in kits & having the northwest corner office on the upper floors of harbour center to making $500 a week living in whistler snowboarding everyday in the winter & mountain biking in the summer. once i'd gotten bored of that i started a couple businesses & really tried to make a go of it in whistler. things didn't work out, i moved back to the city and now i run the digital printing dept in a print shop and i have a successful computer consulting business on the side. i would never trade those 5 years of trying to figure out how to run things in my life in new directions. i may have lost some money but i made the best & closest friends of my life, i learned how NOT to run a business & i learned a lot of important life lessons.
DO THE RISKY THING. you're young. it'll either work out in spades or you'll learn from it and do something even better. good luck. |

exactly.... when it comes down to it... your happiness is the most important thing in your life.... if your living your life for someone else..or just doing things to make other people happy.... then your not being true to yourself...thats the type of thing you'll regret later in life.... do what you feel you really want.. you'll be alot happier in the end. ps. good advice... :P |

but if you're happiness is so important.. how is it that u dont feel selfish about it?
its hard to think me me me... isnt it? what if you're ultimately hurting friends and family .. loved ones.. in the process.. even tho some of them would understand your choice, others wouldnt.... |

ya... no one said life would be easy.... these are just some of the things in life that help make you a stronger person.. you will be able to get alot more out of life when u are more true to yourself and what you want. :)

so... you're pregnant?
~~ If I didn't take a chance, I'd still be stuck in Brampton, Ontario with a shit job and a shit life. Taking a chance and driving with no destination with my boyfriend was the best idea we've ever had... If it weren't for that, I wouldn't be right here, right now, happy as a pig in shit with how things are going |
