I own a house!
I just inherited a house from someone on my dads side of the family.
I didnt know him nor do I believe Ive ever met him. But he left it to "Richards son" or something like that! House is in Nova Scotia (where I was born) Im quite shocked! Kinda feel bad too. Ive never met him or even spoken to him. And he leaves me a house! Im getting the information in the mail about the house, size, propertly, location, land value, and such! Apparently he left a letter and some instructions that go with the house?!?! Interesting news I thought Id share with you. |

I could move in, rent free. But then I have to go back to NovaScotia. Where I dont know anyone! Or, I could sell it. Would help me out alot that way! If its worth enough I might even be able to buy a place out here! Or, keep it as a summer house or something like that! I dont know! |

Yeah, I kinda would like to keep it. But depending on how much it is worth, the money from something like that (if its worth alot) could pay off alot of my debt (student loans and such) and maybe even get me a nice little place out here! Last edited by project.one; Sep 19, 06 at 04:00 PM. |

At the very least... if I sell it... i could throw one massive house party before I do! If everyone could pay for a plane ticket that is :P |

check out mls.ca and search the area where your house is and see what the property values are like. a cool 595, 000 will buy you this out in yarmouth country, nova scotia (water front w/ 9.5 acres) or this beaut for an xtra 3000 out in east vancouver :0( Last edited by frogprincess; Sep 19, 06 at 05:34 PM. |

if he left a letter and instructions, I'd bet it asks you not to sell the house

Probably. Plus, houses/land arn't worth as much out there. So selling that would really only make a decent down-payment on a house out here.
