Windows Media Player for MAC....Not great, but it should work (not a big fan of real audio/video)
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...formacosx.html VLC Media Player for MAC (won't play real format, but it's not too bad.) www.videolan.org/vlc/ Hope that helps. |

if i were to install that, what would be the point of converting it? (i just need to listen to the audio files, i don't need them on my ipod or anything) thanks for the suggestion though :) |

for wmv files you can also get Flip4Mac which is essentially a codec to play wmv files on quicktime (wmp on mac sucks ass).
As for rm, really I don't think there's an option to view without installing realplayer. Windows has a reverse-engineered program that plays rm w/o dealing with all the Real crap but mac doesn't. You can try VLC (listed above) but I don't think that works with .rm files either (but it's a way to view .avi files since QT doesn't support that either). |

i just downloaded it (it was pretty easy to find!) "it may be that while this format is supported, the particular encoding of this input file is not." boo. but thanks anyways, it's a neat program that i'll keep anyways! |

looks like its the RealMedia player for Mac or bust.
had an idea, kinda out there. a worth shot.. if you installed Macromedia Director MX 2004 OSX (bigtime video editor) it has the abilty to use, edit and I assume play Realmedia great software. little big to only use as a player tho, depends on how much you hate Real. also pretty popular, should be able to snag a torrent. |

konichiwa, bitches.
the reason why you're having such a hard time finding a realmedia player is probably because realplayer has issues licensing its codec out to other companies. with that being said you might be able to find an opensource clone on sourceforge i use realplayer on my mac to listen to record samples and its not too bad. it doesnt bog anything down (atleast not for me) |
