Detroit was pressing the play at 5 on 5 as well as the powerplay and if it weren't for luongo making some phenomenal saves. We would have lost that game. Last edited by KenJi; Oct 25, 06 at 09:15 PM. |

Looks like Pyatt is the way to go now! Although, I am still waiting for Jan Bulis to pick up his game...I know he has only one goal this season so far...but I found his game to be slacking on getting the puck on net...kind of reminds me of Jiri Slegr when he was a Vancouver Canuck. A great shot..but kept missing the net*

Pyatt is good I like him. Its not rocket science ! You just GO TO THE NET and actually get shots ON target. lol one of the few who actually does it. Getting damn tired of watching so many players miss the net like 9/10 times.
Man , Im getting real used to hearing HUGE SAVE by Luongo!! I love it. Guy is unreal. Would be nice to have Auld as a backup though. |

^ its not just going to the net though. With the Sedins you gotta be able to read the play.
Carter was able to find the open space around the net or in front of it. Pyatt has been doing that very well. Finding the open space. Going to the net recieving the pass. Reading where dan or hank will cycle and pass the puck too. Pyatt seems to better overall shot wise though . p.s: Anson has a measely 1 goal for his 2.5 million salary. Looks like he isn't so hot without the sedins well pyatt who's career best is 14 is off already to liek 4 or 5 goals. |

It is also nice to see that the canucks coach is NOT putting Naslund with the twins, as Pyatt has found the touch. So we therefore can, at this point in time, conclude that we have two "regular" scoring lines. It was also nice to see that Cooke had his first goal of the season last game vs the Blackhawks, thus showing the canucks do have some depth from 3rd line scoring :mexitoke:

Curious to see how much Anson "finds the open space around the net" with Columbus this year. |
