B.C. high school football player collapses, dies.
A 17-year-old high school student has died after collapsing during a football practice late Tuesday afternoon in Coquitlam.
RCMP spokesman Const. Dave Babineau said the Pinetree Secondary student went into full cardiac arrest on the field at about supper time. "The young man was wearing full football gear and running only when he collapsed. There was no contact during the practice to this point. "The young man was taken to Eagleridge Hospital in Coquitlam, and unfortunately he was pronounced dead." The RCMP have not released the dead student's name. Grief counsellors are being made available at Pinetree Secondary on Thursday. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-col...all-death.html |

Maybe his heart was failing or he was having problems that nobody spotted. Its been known to happen in sports though this is all just my assumptions. *Not what I think happened*
Reminds me of the hockey player who got shot with the puck and died as a result of it. So young. R.I.P. Pinetree too :( |
