I always forget about the omelette

breakfast is my meal. It is usually the only one i have a dec. amount of time to prepare, due to evening responsibilities, so i tend to eat a lot. I always eat the same stuff though, hence the title of this thread.

I want IDEAS. What do you eat for breakfast? I need some variety in my staple meal.

hook a brotha up, maybe i'll have you over for an omelette (more then likely no).

my stomach thnx you.

potatoe cakes.

shred some potatoes, add an egg and salt and pepper. Mix the ingredients

add some vegetable oil to your frying pan, when hot place a palm sized ball of the potatoe in the pan. Flip it once. Then you can add pretty much anything you want on top. Make it mexican by adding some salsa and sour cream. You can mix anything with the potatoes. green onions . red peppers. meat. the options are endless mike

edit: dont forget the cheese

A quick breakfast for me is a soft boiled egg, some ham, some ketchup on rye toast.

brown toast with cream cheese, avacado, tomato and salt&pepper is a favourite...goes well on bagels too.

Omlettes are a specialty...feta & chicken or garlic havarti, tomato and tofu or red pepper and shrimp....aw man i just make combinations out of what's in my fridge. So good.

Breakfast wrap - Turkey Sausage, Hashbrowns, Egg, fry it up, stuff in a whole wheat tortilla with cheese, brown the wrap a bit in the pan... delicious.

Of course you could add red peppers, onions, sambal oelek(hot pepper stuff), barbeque sauce.. bacon.. all sorts of options.

pancakes are a must!! i think some people think they are too much work, but they are so easy. plus you can make a bunch and put the leftovers in the fridge for a snack. sooo good! i'll give you the recipe i use:

2 tsp baking powder, 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 egg, 1 cup milk, 1 tbsp salad oil

Sift the baking powder, flour and salt together in a large mixing bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir. Melt butter on the skillet or pan and pour the batter. :)

It has always been something that bothered me. I make quiche for my grandpa alot (easy convienent meals for him) and he often requests chicken, mushroom and brie...normally a tasty combo..but the whole egg thing just throws it off for me. I cant do it.

I agree with Ms.T..Banana pancakes and french toast!

I'm also quite amazed that no one has posted anything about Waffles!!!

Or I make loaded Homefries. Diced Peppers, Tomato, Sausage and Bacon, Melted Cheese all mixed together. Every Fork-full is loaded with Breakfast tastiness. Easy to do for us lazy Morning Folks.
