I thought this thread was about Canucks fans throwing random objects at their TVs in disgust

mines been pre-ordered for a couple months now, less then 2 weeks, cant wait. wii sports comes packaged with the console, so im counting on it to be a party game that wont get played out too soon, seeing as how ill probably be playing zelda and or red steel on it.

Hahaha... fromt he commercials I've seen about it... everyone looks ridiculous trying to make the characters they are playing do what they are suppose to, though I wonder if it's fun... I think I might find it annoying...

it'll be good for those people who always moved the controllers anyways! y'know the ones who always lean to the left in a racing game when they're trying to steer that way, and vice versa. finally all they're moving around will be put to use! :P

FireWire will become famous soon enough

It was bound to happen at some point, Nintendo recognised there could be some flying wiimotes during intense gaming and introduced the strap for the wiimote, it looks like they underestimated the power of the American population as reports of broken straps are already appearing over the internet.

As I type this third party manufacturers will probably be putting together their own lifetime guarantee versions of wii straps, but for the time being be careful with your wiimote, apparently it’s solid as a rock, but walls and TVs are not.

IGN posted a video about a wall that felt the power of the wii when a strap failed, and Kotaku has a picture of a TV that had a chip taken out of the screen, courtesy of the Wii.

you have to be going seriously ape shit with the controller to snap the lanyard. I think I've cracked how its happening tho. The additional pieces that attach to the controller have clips so the lanyard (the thin piece) is tethered to both the WiiRemote & the other piece of the controller. If you try and unclip the second piece incorrectly you could end up weakening the thinner piece of the lanyard resulting in it breaking
