moooving & need boxes

so after 6 months of looking for a new place (rental) i finally found one!
now i need to start packing but have no boxes. where's the best place in vancouver to pick up freeeeee boxes?

go down any business district alley. look for the recycling dumpsters. they will be flattened, but are easier to get back home that way, and just put them back together

Just go to SportChek, Petcetera, Movie Gallery, Gas Stations, any of thoes places. You can either ask them for some boxes, or, just go round and get them from the recycling in the back.
The recycling bins are clean so you dont have to worry about something spilt all over them. But usually, if you just go in and ask, they give them to you.

cold beer and wine stores have decent boxes to, just call ahead to see what a good time to swing by is

The only problem with that is they're usually padlocked shut, and there's only a slit to slide the boxes through.

Just buy some from the self storage places.

You can pick what size and not have to look like a bum in an alley.

most of them are too full and have them stacked on top around my work.

i just moved and needed boxes.. i went to safeway where a friend worked in produce they go thru so many boxes and just gave them to me

produce department of any major grocery store. they always have an abundance of decent sized boxes. banana boxes are quite strong

go and ask mcdonalds. people always came in asking for boxes. they have good boxes, but mostly in smaller sizes. aside from that, you can try grocery stores and any clothing stores in malls. you could also ask any friends who may work in a warehouse or a building with a warehouse

When I worked at the North Delta Inn CB&W I filled up some Guy's Taurus so much that his Passenger was buried under Boxes. Even packed the Trunk and Back Seat.

Check craigslist, lots of people are trying to get rid of boxes

Raid your school's photo copy room... all their paper comes in those nice boxs with lids :D
