Really good reliable trucks, I've owned 4.

That's pretty cheap.

I'd get it for sure.

how are they on gas? i dunno if it's got a 4 banger in it or what. it's a standard which is great cause i'm never owning an automatic again (i've blown 2 auto. transmissions already). it's not an extended cab which kinda sucks cause that means not alot of room for my junk.

ya while i was standing out there in the pissing down rain i figured i should get a canopy, maybe just find one at the wrecker yards. if everything is in decent order i'm gonna get it cause that is exactly what i need. i'm going to take it to a mechanic to get the whole inspection done just so i'm not f*ckin myself over.

they are 4 cyl bro.

suuuuuper good on gas. I almost can't believe it.

esoteric pretty much covered it though, nice reliable lil truck.

just watch for the lil things, wiper motor isn't very strong so it can burn out if you don't clear snow off etc and try to keep some weight in the back for traction in the rain.

nothin major, they'll go forever. I had a '90 with 130km.

Really ?

They're so fast.

My other buddy had one and he towed a schoolbus out of a ditch with it.

You'll be amazed at the power.

well i just called the guy and he said that there are a few things wrong with the truck. said that the tie-rod was bent and would probably need to be changed, also the brakes need to be checked (which i can do) and it actually has roughly 250,000kms. guess i read the trip-odmeter and it's a 4cyl. like i've seen some good reviews for them but my dad is trying to discourage me from it. like i still think it'd be a great truck if all that shit wasn't too expensive to fix and it's something in my price range!

that's ridiculous KMs the engine is prolly still pretty mint. I had a '89 MX6 which has virtually the same engine in it (different head same block & plumbing) and it was rock solid. Check it GOOD for rust tho. A $750 car is awesome unless you end up spending $6000 on bondo & paint. If its a manual check around and see if you can find a mechanic willing to do the clutch & brakes on it for cheap (don't buy the parts off him, get 'em at lordco. new pads & a new clutch was under $200 for parts for my MX6). If he'll let you take the valve cover off and look at the valves & the cam. The metal underneath the valve cover isn't finished smooth, its rough so you can get a pretty good idea of how dirty the oil has gotten with previous owners (and by extension how much damage and/or wear the dirty oil has done). It'll look pretty bronze regardless but use your thumb to wipe a steak near a valve spring (use a finger, not a cloth, the cloth will just pick up the finer dirt, which is what you're looking for). Ask about the history of the truck, specifically if it sat for a while. 183,000kms in 23 years works otu to just under 8000kms/year. That's little old lady to church on sundays low kms. I'd ask why. Look at the truck bed; if its scuffed, scratched and banged up to hell and gone (espeically if there's old rust on the scratches) its likely somebody just swapped the odometer and the truck has twice that milage.
As for fuel economy they're pretty good. Keep in mind that is a 23 year old truck so its not going to be getting 35mpg but it won't guzzle gas so long as you drive it in a resonable fashion. If you lead-foot it won't hesitate to drain your tank as quickly as it can.
