MacBook users!!

I was under the impression they came with Windows XP installed... am I missing something?

Download BOOTCAMP BETA. off the apple website.

DOWNLOAD THE INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS AND PRINT THEM OUT (important, has to be done, you wouldnt want ur lappy stuck in windows forever)

INSTALL WINDOWS. its simple. fast and easy. just be careful not to delete your MAC portion of the harddrive.

they dont come with windows.

no, it's merely the ability to run windows if you really want too.

i don't know why you would want too, but that's me.

besides, if they were to come with windows preinstalled they'd be a whole lot more expensive :P

it comes in handy every ONCE in a blue blue blue moon. but you can still get a virus on the Windows XP. be careful .

yes, I thought that an apple product that came with an Intel chip would be preinstalled like all other prebuilt computers that come with one.

Besides.. it's not like Gates doesn't have his hands in Apple's pockets.

pretty much apple's idea was that more people(meaning windows users) will buy the macbook if they knew they could install windows, so if theres anything they cant do in mac, they would use windows. But their plan was, i read this in the macworld magazine, that they will find out how much better mac is than windows. and become a full on mac user.

defintily. well the macbook pro has a very very nice vid card. but not enough games are out for mac.

yeah I just got my 17" macbook pro on tuesday, it's gorgeous. Using bootcamp to install windows as a breeze, i don't have much of a use for it except for the odd game so I only gave it a 15G partition.

I might install parallels this weekend just to test it out.

All I know is that OSX starts up in 15 seconds max on this badboy, and I love it :)

mine starts up faster. lol. and it dont get worse as time goes. hahahahaahh. love it. dont matter what, turns on and off like a lightswitch.

this thing is beautiful, I love it. I mostly just want Windows for filesharing.

if you have a network setup, with windows with limewire. your iTunes connects to their limewire automatically, and you can listen to their songs with no BUFFER. like its on your computer. even tho its not. its wicked, you find out so many things as time goes by, never stops amazing me.

did you just buy one brand new? which one? play with the remote control yet? push F12 for widgits, Push F11 to clear the screen, Push F10 and F9, those buttons are the most handiest ever.

i was pretty much talking about windows. cuz it starts up like a lightswitch for the first few times, then gets slower and slwoer, and slowly dosent start up at all. hahaha.

first 3 months free. pretty much i used it to its full extent. will do again once i get money. its really really handy. but riht when u turn on ur computer for the first time, it asks u to sign up for a mac account.
