I know it's beautiful and all outside, but I just got off a 14 hour shift just in time to catch the 11 o'clock news on Global to see myself and my staff walk around in the pitch dark with our mini flashlights trying to keep our 75 patients warm and to brace them for the -20 degree weather tonight.
Down on Hydro @ West Vancouver Care Centre: 16 hours and 33 mins and counting. :( |

I'm considering leaving a half hour early tomorrow to take transit, instead of driving my mom's car. I figure that way when we crash:
A) My mom's car won't be involved and B) I stand a way better chance of surviving than whoever the bus hits I'm determined to put in a full 45 hours this week. Partly out of greed, and partly as a "FUCK YOU" to the weather Gods. |
