we made it
after a two day drive through california traffic and oregon mountains and the mojave desert, my pony and i arrived in phoenix!
i forgot how nice it is here. i work in a tank top all day and i have to body clip my pony now. looks like we might be making a few road trips to run horses at Los Alamitos in southern california or to various tracks in new mexico. stoked. HI ERIK. pm me your numbers again, they got melted in the rain in portland before i could put them in my phone. <3 Chris, i really want my laptop somehow. |

last year was my first time going to phoenix for the winter.
it's nice here, but i think i want to go to cali next year, unless i go east to ontario for the summer, then i'll most likely wind up in florida. this is the first time i've brought my pony with me. it's quite rad i must say. |

i exercise racehorses for a living.
and now i might get a few from trainers at diffrent tracks for myself to train. that's why i'm in phoenix, we have a long winter meet here. no racing in the rain or snow for this cookie. |

it rains sideways in oregon.
really, it was ok, but so much like vancouver.... save up for longer and go to california. depending on how much work i get here i might just go to southern cal instead. depends on what my friend there says.... |

i love my job. however the horses i work with are not always so gentle. there's a funeral this week for a fellow exercise rider who happened to get off a baby he was breaking and it struck him in the head and he just never got off the ground. dead on impact. that's not the norm however. |
