HOWEVER, I do believe that if you work an extra day (6 day week) they have to pay you overtime? |

In the wonderful world of Engineering working on salary and not being a manager, you'd have a hard time finding a company that will pay you overtime.

What the Branch does not consider:
Determining who is a manager is not based on: The title given to a position or the fact that other employees refer to that person as a 'manager.' For example, an employee who is called a "manager of french fries" is not necessarily considered a manager. The form of payment of wages (e.g. salary, hourly wage, commission). The responsibility to open and close the business for the day. An employee who is not a manager is entitled to the full range of entitlements under Parts 4 and 5, including premium wage rates for overtime and statutory holiday pay. you should still get overtime if you are on salary, unless you have an agreement with your place of employment |

Managers getting paid overtime? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH... sheeeiiiit. Never heard of that EVER.
I'm a Manager -- I have 6 people reporting to me. I am salaried and are definitely not eligble for overtime. With all the travel I do as well, the most I can do is take an additional day or two off -- even then that's tough to do. |

Yeah I didn't think anyone got paid overtime in the tech industry.
