If I'm too tuned to pass out, I'm generally too tuned to get it up too.

One trick that I always had whenever I'd go on mushroom benders... just close your eyes. Even if you're not sleeping, the lack of eye-receptor activity helps replenish good things in your brain (like seratonin) and makes the next day's burnout not so bad.
