i personally somewhat agree with her.
unions are great if you perform a service that can be easily farmed out to someone for cheaper (ie. unskilled labour) or where they just wouldn't give you benefits otherwise. they prevent the employer from just getting rid of you to get some other chump for $8/hr. they basically allowed most of my friends to have middle class families when they grew up. still not too sure how i feel about the pay scales some of the unions get.
for skilled labour positions (ie. anything from computers to electrical to printing), they just serve to protect the weak. if you need a union to protect your job, you aren't very good at your job in the first place. get rid of those unions for sure.
