thinking about selling my drum set....

So i've had this particular kit for a while and I just never have the time to play it...or even the space to set it up properly. I'm thinking about letting it go, but its so mint! Its a black 5 piece pearl master series, I would love to play it more often but I just dont have the time or space right now.

sell or not sell?

I guess it really depends on if you think you will have time/space for them in the future?

How much do you love your drums?

I always wanted to learn to play the drums..but alas, not so much.

I hope whatever you decide, you are 100% happy with =D

Good luck!

If you have a good friend that has the space/desire to play but no drums... I'd say set it up at their place and go get your kicks (no pun intended) from time to time... a friend of mine did this for awhile while he moved/travelled.. always had his kit setup and ready to play when he came back. He later sold it and regretted it ever since.

Yeah I always regret selling things like that after I do it. I custom built my bike and got out of ridin for a little bit and decided to sell it because I could get so much money, but I totally regretted it later. Money comes and goes but possessions mean more. Then again you can always buy another set if you haven't gotten attached to them, which it seems like you haven't.

I'm always against the selling of a musical instrument. I was going to sell my trombone when I switched to playing bass in Jazz Band in highschool, but I decided to keep it. Five years later I'm starting to pick it up again and incorporating it into my music to add entirely new dynamics to my writing. I would have never thought of it if I hadn't have kept it.

I suggest you keep it.. a kit's always nice to have around.

On a side note, I put a down payment on a $4000 electronic kit today. So stoked!

I regret not keeping up in practice on my violin, but at least I still have it :).

keep it - you may move to space where you can use it one day.

If the urge to play is still there...
id.
but..

*raises hand*...pick me?...:)
the....side of me that is both sides actually...is wanting you to sell it to me...
i've got 5 years...(decent ones)..but not amazing ones ..under my belt...
or over...my boobs...or something
However, id say dont sell it...I've heard SO many people complain...remanisce...about various instruments loved and lost..
I would keep. Even if it be jamming with the spidery creatures for a while...
who knows, perhaps the kit has a psychobilly future..
You never know when an opportunity is going to present it'self..

Why did you buy them?
EXACTLY.

I'm in agreement with the "keep it" motion.

You'll regret selling it. I never use my electric guitar, but I'll never sell that.
