I totally feel your pain, I think the worst injury I had was when I was getting ready for a three day event, practicing in my arena at home, my horse decided to be a dick and come to a sliding halt infront of the 4ft jump I was heading towards. Needless to say I did a header over my horse and landed on my jump standard, broke my tailbone (I got to use one of thoes fun doughnut things for two weeks) and really bruised the rest of my body. ***UGH***

oh no injuries.
the mud was too deep. the whole gate crew, the outriders, the other pony girls, the jockeys and even the starter were all howling at all 4 of us covered in mud. mandy, one of the outriders made me get back on and ride to the grandstands. obviously i got back on. that's how i earn a living, riding horses. we are unscathed. to keep with the puns THIS THREAD IS RUNNING OFF. |

cowboy up. coming off happens. if you get on enough horses, you're going to come off some. it's a part of life. just don't think about it and get on the next one. my friend joe had a massive wreck today. his horse stumbled near the inside rail on the track and he went ass over tea-kettle off the front of the horse. he somehow took the bridle with him. the bridle then got wrapped around the horses tail while it was at a dead run, the wrong way down the track on the outside rail. the saddle got jerked back to where a bucking cinch would be due to the fact that the bridle was entangled in the horses tail and back leg. i came onto the track in time to see the horse, still at a dead run and bucking for all he's worth because of where the saddle was and the fact that the bridle was wrapped around his tail and back leg. the horse barreled within 5 ft of me and my boyfriend then abruptly turns and climbs over the plastic guard rail and runs down the chute off the track. when it gets to the end of the chute it falls and hits HARD. which scares a horse my friend is on. my friend gets dumped and the two horses take off bucking and running at top speed through the barn area. the last i heard jack saw the horse with no saddle on anymore but still had the bridle wrapped around his leg and still running loose in the barn area. now THAT is a wreck. but joe just walked along the track and collected the tack that had fallen off his horse and got on the next one. grow some balls like that and you might go far with horses. PS joe is gay, but has balls of steele man. either that or learn how to stay on. i don't come off often but that's my job. to stay on. there's something to be said for a healthy fear of hitting hard. you learn how to preserve yourself. when i'm coming off, i know, and subconsiously i know to look for the right spot at the right time. oh some cocksucker horse i was ponying today almost struck my pony in the face which sent her ducking to the outside rail. my leg was between the rail and her and she smashed my knee cap into the metal rail.
mass bruising will no doubt be coming. my right leg is covered in bruises from ponying because that's the side we take the horses on. i had one of justins bastard horses decide to wrap it's teeth around my thigh. it got a punch. |

Ummm well I have been riding my whole life actually, (im 22 not 12) I no longer ride but it has nothing to do with 'having enough balls' I just grew out of it. Its now something I do for fun and not something I am planning on doing as a career. I am not going to relay the shit that I have seen or have been through in that time but good luck |
