Photographers!

Hey I'm having problems trying to find a place where you can develop your own pictures, and also where can you rent any kind of lighting props??? If you guys could help me out that would be amazing i can't find these two things anywhere!!!!

I used to bug my old high school art teacher to let me use the darkroom after hours... (even after I graduated) -- I've always thought there should be a darkroom rental place, that'd be awesome.

Get the basic stuff you need and develop in your bathroom, I've done that before too. Be sure to dispose of your chemicals in a conscientious manner!

i used to have a dark/red room...i borrowed materials from the local highschool

call some local newspapers and see about talking to some of their freelance photographers, you might get lucky and land someone who knows the ins and outs of this dying practice

I did some borrowing of my own to hook mine up too.

Check out this search on craigslist for darkroom equipment, there's some full setups here for pretty reasonable coin!

Thanks i'm going to be doind an upcoming photo project and i would rather do it all myself, and i've looked everywhere and nothing :( but i'll call the newspaper place and check it out, i've graduaded like 3 years ago hahaha i dont think they want me back

I didn't read your entire post because i got bored, but from the first sentence or so i'm going to suggest Leos camera store on granville.. you can rent anything photography/videography related

I bugged my old highschool teacher too, she even offered to give me some of the old equipment when they were getting new stuff so long as when I was finished with it I would give it to another student that needed it :) I thought it was a nice idea
