Red Robin's has excellent milkshakes. The chocolate ones are heavenly. :)
Although, I haven't tried them at many other places.

my dad has been going there for 30 years easy, and they make all the shakes right infront of you, or you can play one of the old school pinball machines while you wait.

best "non-fast food establishment" milkshake around.

I'd say Sunshine Diner in kits. They have fantastic milkshakes. You can mix and match.

i passed it by on fear alone.

ohhh Wally's Boogers!!! ( I used to call it that when I was a wee tot and couldn't pronounce Burger haha) my parents used to take us there sometimes after swimming lessons. I must agree - if their milkshakes are anything like they used to be, they are the BEST! I didn't know that place was still around, I have to go check it out now.
