I didn't know I was supposed to get something for my mom, she's in chicago, so I probably wouldn't have gotten her anything anyway.
I agree with gnosis and grapes.. valentines day is for professing your love to your partner and mothers dad is to appreciate your mom. ps. I think you should profess your love for your partner everyday as well as appreciate your mom everyday, no need for the two hallmark holidays |

vday is just a day to send flowers to girls to put smiles on there faces. But i could totally see how sending ur mom flowers on ANY DAY OTHER THEN their bday or mothers day would be the creepiest thing ever and totally means your trying to hook up with them!! sounds like gnosis and grapes have some issues they need to sort out, get ur fucking heads outta the gutters!! |

I don't need a holiday to make my mom happy by sending her flowers or a card and I don't need my friends/partner to make me happy on a holiday.
it would mean more to me to get flowers on a random day other then valentines day, my birthday, anniversery etc. I've bought my mom gifts on random days and they mean more to her then stuff on her birthday. I think valentines day is more of a day for lovers to get together and do things that they usually forget to do throughout the year, romantic dinners, movies, gifts etc. I don't understand why you made this post about getting things for your mom? sure you can get something for her to make her happy but it's not a day I consider as a day I give my mom something. |

it's not serious for me at all, its a fun holiday to have. plus cheap chocolates for the next week at shoppers.
I just think that it wasn't nice for you to tell me that I've failed at Valentines Day just because I didn't get my mom anything. If some people got their mom's something and made them happy, great. I have nothing against that. It's just that I don't think that I have to get my mom something on this day. |
