Alleged "love affair" certainly sounds more risque than what I read elsewhere, mainly that her brother was only 11 years old and was seen unsupervised taking a walk with a girl of a different tribe which was considered to be of a higher caste.

wanna hear something worse? one of my friend's sister did a report for her crim class. I wish I could remember all of the details.. but here's the jist of it:

two brothers want their sister dead. one brother rapes his sister causing shame for the family. the punishment for a girl getting raped is death. the other brother in the family then stones his sister to death, which is a rightful practice to do when a woman in a family is raped.




keep in mind that what these brothers did was "legal".

okay okay okay, think about this for a second.

pakistani's obviously think this is wrong. this is not some weird 'tribal ritual' anymore than a guy in an american prison getting gang raped for stealing a cigarette.

shit like this is everywhere there is a local self apointed ruling class seperate from the actual ruling class.
