Hey 2-sweet...
I have heard really good things about island parties... I personally haven't attended one but that will be happening soon. And that song you are listening to... I just picked up the Dave London breaks mix... It's sa-weet. Peace. |

i just got back from the island... i met a couple sketchy island partykids this morning, they had some good things to say about their scene compared to vancity's, but they seem really scary hardcore... i saw a bunch of others and they looked pretty scary...
but from what i gather, the island scene is probably a lot more vibe'y than a vancity party, cuz that whole island has a groovy cultural scene going on... seemed really unique to me, compared to here....... maybe i'll go back there for a party... but i'm kinda afraid they'll eat me alive |

Don't base an entire scene on a couple of sketchers you met. I use to promote in Vancouver and there are just as many sketchers there as here. Possibly more.
The island scene is very vibey. You don't ever have a group of people sitting in the middle of the dancefloor. You don't ever have parties fire bombed or promoters dragged out of a show and shot. Yes, that has happened in Vancouver. don't judge the Island until you experience an Island party. Then and only then are you entitled to give an opinion on it. All the best, Danny |
