WHAT DID DOMESTIC CARS EVER DO TO YOU???!!! I personally think domestic cars can more fast and powerful than a lot of imports, but too many people have that concept in their heads that imports are just SOOO MUCH BETTER!! whatever... I'd take a viper over an m5 or m3. --Joanne :P |

An M3 and M5 isn't in the same class as a Viper. I could quote TONS of imports that rock a Viper.
When I speak of an import, I speak of quality engineering, a proven higher resale value and far more efficiency than the comprible domestic in a similar class. To each there own, it's all good... |

fine list a bunch of stock cars that can out perform a viper.
and i'll list more domestic cars that will beat the pants off those. and to guice... your 220horse goes to waste because your car is heavy. and you won't beat much... and 17s? pfft.. 17s are brutal. get the 19s please. better yet. chuck the old motor and stick an LS6 in it please. :Peenutt: |

Alrighty... in my slightly drunken state, I will see if I can remember any specs here.
Porsche 911 GT2 Engine: 3.6L 456 hp H6 6 speed manual overdrive 456HP and 457ft. pounds of torque Curb weight: 3175 lb 0-62mph = 4.1 s 0-100mph = 8.5 s 50-75mph in 5th gear = 4.7 s Top speed = 198mph Viper stats: Engine: 8.0-liter V10 Horsepower: 450 @ 5200 Torque: 490 @ 3700 Acceleration: 0-60 mph in 4.3 sec. 1/4-mile in 12.5 sec. Top Speed: 165 mph Although the prices are significantly different, look at the enginuity of the Porsche engine in comparison to the Viper! And the car even weighs about 500lbs. less at that and has a higher top speed and to further would maintain its value for years to come. |
