yeah i'm not too sure what the actual medication is but i've heard of it. essentially it slows down your metabolism. with me, i have to eat TONS of calories a day just to maintain my weight.
i have a feeling you want to build muscle mass as opposed to actual fat, yeah? if you work out, you should use heavy weights in low reps. i'm not expert on the whole weight lifting issue cuz...i'm a skinny little twig boy. but if you're really concerned about it, you should check it out with your doctor. never hurts to know what's going on. your doctor might find that your metabolism is abnormally fast.
i know what you mean though. i eat a lot more food than most of my friends and i'm still really thin. a lot of people say that i'm lucky and stuff...but i'm really NOT. it sucks when you have to stuff your face just to MAINTAIN your body weight.
my weight can fluctuate from day to day...i could be 5 pounds heavier today and tomorrow i'll be 5 pounds lighter. i think it's just water weight though.
