Seems like this busy little vixen is spreading her love around...
Jen and Ben: Couple Confirmed
Just a little over a month ago came the announcement that Jennifer Lopez's marriage to dancer Cris Judd was over. On July 25, Access Hollywood confirmed that J. Lo has a new boyfriend: movie co-star Ben Affleck.
"We've become very good friends and I've been so impressed by her in a lot of ways," Ben told Access in March 2002.
Ben struck up the friendship with Jennifer on the set of Gigli, the movie where the couple first met. That friendship, Access can report, has now blossomed into romance.
Here's what we know: In New York City, the couple has spent every day since July 21 together. On Monday, July 22, they dined at Robert DeNiro's restaurant Nobu. On Tuesday, July 23, he visited her on the set of The Chambermaid. And on Wednesday, July 24, after Jennifer's Chambermaid crew celebrated her 32nd birthday on the set, Ben threw a surprise lunchtime party at a mid-town Manhattan restaurant. His gift to J. Lo was a Harry Winston bracelet of yellow and white diamonds.
It was back in April that Ben took out a full-page ad in the Hollywood Reporter congratulating her on her selection as ShoWest Female Star of the Year. "I thought I would write a paragraph saying what a professional, what a decent person I think she is and how kind she is," said Affleck.
Ben continued to display his friendship for Jennifer by turning up at the opening of her new restaurant Madre's on April 12. Jennifer, married at the time to Cris Judd, danced with Ben at the party. Jennifer's split with Cris was announced June 7.
This is not the first time Ben has dated one of his co-stars; for years he was romantically linked to Gwyneth Paltrow. But during a recent interview on The View he suggested he may be ready to settle down. "I would like to have a family. That would be nice."
Jen and Ben's movie Gigli opens in May of 2003, and in August 2002, the two begin working on the film, Jersey Girl, for director Kevin Smith.
