Define..."Newbie"
Alright I have been partying for about 5 months now. I have learned about the scene. I have met DJ's and I have evan partied with them off stage. I know what goes on in the party. Also I'm evan wanting to start my own production company.
I tell people that I have only been partying for that long and they laugh and say "newbie" Even though I know as much or evan more then them about stupid things that they bring up and try and make themselves look "so into the party scene" Heh it kinda makes me chuckle though. So yeah I was just going to see if I could get "the peoples" input on this topic. "What makes a person a non-newbie?" This will be interesting on what type of responses that I get. |

i've been partying for 7 months..
i'm a newbie.. but people dont percieve me as one .. is the fact that you know local djs supposed to make you old skool or something?.. a post like this makes you a newbie in my opinion.. because you take partying much to seriously and you are getting an inflated ego because of your newly acquired active social life. sorry.. i dont usually flame but bragging about knowing djs is lame |

I agree with SMH, you are no longer a newbie when you could give a shit about how long you have partied for, what you have done, who you have met or known from the parties.
As for starting your own company, it seems like this is the next biggest trend of ripping people off by your own inexperience. I know everyone has to start somewhere, but if you have no resources, connections or money how far do you really think you can go? Look at all those dot coms that failed because it was the thing to do even though they had nothing tangible in a business viewpoint. All the power to you to start your own business, I have tried and failed and I will try again, but know this, if you fail can you deal with the shit that is going to pile up faster than you can imagine after? |

I wasn't trying to say that i thought it was cool to hang out with DJ's of the stage. I was only saying cause people come up to me all the time saying"awww this and that about this DJ" they go on and on about how they know them and how they can get in for "free" come-on. I'm in no way a newbie cause i scroung i do whatever it takes to get to the next party :016: The time that i have been partying has taught me lots about people in the scene. Is that alot of them lie and have low self esteems and this is a place where they can get away and be whoever they wanna be or evan someone else. I don't get it.
