The most controversial poll ever
Subject: Online / Offline Communique Ethics
One distinctive demographic of people treat communications over the internet, including message boards, chat, sometimes even email, and other methods like an escape from reality. They speak over the internet with tongues and attitudes they wouldn't use when speaking to a person face-to-face, whether they know them or not may be a factor in changing this. The other distinctive demographic treats communications over the internet along the same lines, but tries to stay true to what they would say face-to-face, with the exception of the occasional accidental flaming post or mail they wish they had gone to the bathroom first before pressing send. Of course, there are no absolutes in life anywhere, this poll is just for what you feel more true of yourself. Please post any feelings on the matter you may have here as well as answering the poll. |

ummmm no im pretty much the same person.
except i always find it easier to write stuff down and tell someone (whether it be in a letter or on the net)...then tell them to their face...depending on what it is, so sometimes i get a lot more off my chest on the net then in person. but i dunno, ask someone who knows me fer who i am on here and in person |

i think it would be fair to say that the internet chat scene has turned me into somewhat of a nut...
i was a pretty shy kid until i got online... ...and they said the internet would make us anti-social. i guess i just got comfortable with the idea of mouthing people off and not thinking about the consequences... well, i haven't been beaten dead yet... |

i am the same in person. however if ppl saw me say the shit i say here in person they would know that i am not being totally serious.
forums lack the body language, tone of voice and facial expressions that verbal communication has. Last edited by Gold Streaks; Aug 12, 02 at 02:15 PM. |

i think im more ditzy online than offline. i try to act the same and "normal", cuz most of the ppl on this board knows me in person, so there's no point to act like a plurry kid or a complete bitch..cuz im neutral? but obviously its easier to diss someone on the internet...cuz its only u're fingers typing.
i HATE ppl who have 2 complete different personalities online and offline.. especially ppl who try to judge u online and diss u and make fun of u..and they are too chicken shit to say it to u're face. grrrzzz to ppl who can't say stuff to my fukin face.. step up BITCH! <must calm down> |

how is you bribing mc hammered to come out to your clubnight paying my debt?
im sure if he really wanted his beer, he'd give me a date and time. heck, if he showed up downtown after work i'd just buy him a 6-pack from the liquor store and be done with it. maybe this should be your new controversial poll topic: WILL WERDYBOY EVER BUY MC HAMMERED BEER? |
