I Need Help: What is there to do???

Ok, here's the deal: I live in Nanaimo, but my good friend just this summer moved to surrey. I'm over at his house right now and we're bored. He hasn't met any new friends, I don't know the area well, and we don't have the car 'til his brother gets home later. WHAT SHOULD WE DOO???? Is there anything to do in Vancouver on a wednesday night? I'm not exactly sure if this is surrey, it's by fraser hwy and 88th??? Can anyone help us out? Our last resort is to go rent a movie and watch more tv.
