Ad-Aware Multi-Spyware Removal

This should be run everytime you install an application. If your running it for the first time don't be surprised to find 200+ components on yoru computer.

Ad-aware is a free multi spyware removal utility that scans your memory, registry and hard drives for known spyware and scumware components and lets you remove them safely. It is updated frequently.

Is there any way around it??

I've gotten rid of a bunch of stuff it conviently added for me
B3D projector, New.net etc etc stuff that was easy to find

But we've got a million and a half songs on there I don't want to lose

btw anyone know if its safe to download stuff like Norton antivirus, Photoshop and other software from places like Kazaa and Winmx???

it only gets rid of kazaa if you delete the file cd_clint.dlll which apparently isn't actually spyware and is necessary so that kazaa can work.

I had 46 bad files =(

All Gator
and Brilliant B3D files (which come with kazaa)

I've scanned my comp by myself many times before this and always erased Gator they seem to always find there way back

if you want to get rid of the spyware with kazaa, get kazaalite

and if you're worried about your mp3's, just move the folder.
if you use adaware it won't actually delete kazaa just deletes a file so you can't use it, then you need to reinstall for it to work..

i ran ad aware once, and i forgot i ran it so i ran it again, it cleaned out the same number of files...
shouldn't the 2nd time have been 0?!?! it was just a matter of like 5 minutes!

^^ did you actually delete the files the first time??

if you run it, it'll pick it all up and say there was this many files.. but then you have to choose which ones to get rid of and get rid of em. if you didn't do that then it will pick em up the second time.

yeah you need to backup and the trash all the files..
I never had a problem, and its ALWAYS good to run a FULL search!

yeah ad-aware is a great spy removal tool .. thumbs up ... helps speed up your browser ect..... gets rid of thoses stupid pop ups n shiat ...

also clean out your temp directory, cache, cookies, history once amonth or so, depending on your OS Settings.

imagine going from 100mb left on your HD to 5GB left.
