Does anyone know how to take vocals off a track? I need the instrumental version of a song to use for an audition this weekend. However I can't find the instrumental version anywhere (winmx can die).

Who can do this for me?

i don't think it's possible to extract the vocals off a track

You cannot extract vocals from a track unless its in a track form. This mean anything in .mp3 format or off a cd CANNOT be split.

If your looking just for the instrumentel, which one?? Get back to me Addy. If its a hip hop track and its onthe radio I might be able to track it down for you.

you can selectively filter vocal frequencies with a shifting bandpass filter, but it's going to sound like shit unless the vocal information is very uniform and the background very sparse and defined. write the record company... (yeah right).
