I need some advice about FROZEN MEAT
Okay my mom defrosted a beef rib roast whatever you call that and it said on the package date July 13th year 2000. She said it's okay to eat but I said ewwww are you crazy that's almost 3 years man. This morning it was fully defrosted my mom sliced it and when I woke up in the morning I looked at the meat. There was no freezer bite. The meat didn't look pale and it doesn't stink. Should I throw it away or let the family eat it?? Will I get sick hahahaha

i wouldn't eat it!!
meat shouldn't be kept that long period (even if it's frozen) there's a shelf life for everything.. and i think 2 1/2 years is a little over the shelf life of meat.. i personally would chuck it away.. and not eat it.. |

I worked in a meat factory for 4 years
Believe it or not alot of meat you eat at a restaraunt can be very old. Its bought and sold many times before it gets to the consumer If you froze the meat near the expirey date back then and it was never thawed or refrozen, and it was not frost bitten or exposed to much air thru a improper seal, its fine.. It just might lose a little bit of its favour thats all AGROout |
