do certain smells remind you of places?

well im sick and all stuffed up so i put on some vicks vapour rub and it reminds me of the smell of plaza and being all kande. ahhh the days of the plaza ... ~*~thinks back to stargate~*~

uhm there are these smells i smell occasionally that remind me of my childhood.. like cabbage patch kids, and stuff like that...

i feel disorientated when i smell them.

the smell of my chap stick reminds me of when I was 5

theres this certain type of carpet cleaner that reminds me of the smell of puke
on my buddies 18th bday he came over and we finished a bottle of vodka in 3 mins
and he puked all over my room
my mom cleaned it with that carpet cleaner after and from then on ive associated that smell with puke heh

the chapstick that you get at xmas time reminds me of when i was little too...

my friend has to smell everything it is soo gross she is always smelling her hands. i guess that is why she has a big nose.
smelling stuff does remind me of stuff but i cant think of anything right now
