another opinion on clubs and raves

as for clubs, the music is very good. big djs are rolling in often, clubs djs are AWESOME, the sound systems are consistantly good, and u rarely have the problem with skipping needles (in comparison to raves).

raves need improvement in SO many ways. big djs arnt rolling in cuz theres not much financial support from ravers, many rave djs need to get back into the bedroom and do some more work before even thinking about playing out, not enough finances for good sound systems and skippy needles is a constant issue.

dont let the rave scene die! we all need to work together to make it great once again =)

Seriously, tho', it all depends on what kind of rave or club he'd be performing at. If it was an outdoor party or small party, I'd go the rave route. If it was a club like Lotus, I'd go there.

Club atmosphere can be nice but not when it's so crowded the most one can do is jump up and down with their arms at their sides. Raves are fun when there is enough freedom to do what you want and it doesn't try to emulate a club atmosphere. :smoke1:

flailers never bugged me I always just ignored them
Clubs are better for just chillin out and havin a beer
Parties(at least the one I go to) are better for having 12

nah man..i think we should save the good stuff for the clubs..raves should be cheap dirty sketchy and alot of fun...like what agroculture throws, thats how raves should be.

I remeber when the scene was HUGE in vancouver just a couple years ago. Now it seems like it's all gone underground with the occasional big party every couple of months. I for one like it better that way cause now I can bring a case of beer and not have to worry about it getting jacked cause there's never any security. I would like to see an improvement in sound quality around this city at our underground shows. The skippy needles thing is really starting to piss me off too.

raves can be fun too.. the crowds more into it...

as for people getting more hyped up at parties than clubs? uh no way. the vibe at clubs are WAYYYYYYYYYYY more intense.....

Well it also depends on teh night. The last time Aphro was in town the club was so hyped that they were screaming for about 10 minutes straight during part of his set. I haven't seen a party as stoked as that crowd was in a while...
