don't go see Ani live unless you're:
a) a bi-curious girl with ani-esque style who knows all the lyrics to everyone of her songs b) a gay male who knows all the lyrics to everyone on her songs you'll feel like a bit of an outsider if you don't fit into one of these two categories. michael ps sadly when I went to see her live I fell into category C... pussy whipped boyfriends who feel out of place but are there to keep their girlfriend's ( who are bi-curious with ani-esque style and know all the lyrics to everyone of her songs) company |

that's too bad, not all (straight) guys feel like thst about her music. and yes, i know all of the lyrics to most of her songs that i've heard:) i've been listening to her for 8 years or so, her music has helped me through many many days. i love how her music has changed over the years but is still very much ani, and it's still original and unique, and that it doesn't sound like everything else being played, and i like that she is playing for the right reasons, and isn't afraid to say whatver she feels . it's like each of ani's songs tell a little story, and every story she tells is told with emotion and meaning. i don't know, i've always really liked her, she is one of the only artists who i really respect and feel good supporting. krisimata, $45 from ticketmaster. show's at the queen e theatre. if you're going, let me know:) |

straight guys that like ani (must be pronouced awwwwwwwneeeee with a venti moca-latte suburban drawl) only do it for their girlfriends. they want to get it out of thier systems so they can go home and hump them.
i have dated an ani (awwwnii!) chick and although i was attracted to her as a person and intellectually, all the acoustic guitar and folk-rapping really put a damper on the bedroom. i never wanted to hit it cuz i was inundated with lesbian-radio. ani(awwwwwni!) is a good person and a great entreprenuer. but, i think the world would have been better off with more shaved armpits and less staccato whining. girls really need to get the ani(awwwwniii)-love on the table during the first date. if i was single, i could only imagine the random-cd search flipping over to one of her cds during the first ever act of 'the business' and me losing all will to go on. that shit's worse than 'i think i might be pregnant'. |

^^^ lol:)
what surprised me most about my boy is when i was flipping through his cd's and saw one of my favorite ani albums, then i was more surprised when he told me that no, it wasn't his ex's cd, it was his and that ani is one of his favorite artists. i think i must have had a look of confusion and disbelief on my face because he laughed at me a little. i later copied ALL of her cds that i didn't have, from him. so there you go, i found a straight guy who loves ani's music as much as i do and has been listening to her for about as long as i have, and has seen her 4 times in concert, of his own accord, not trying to impress his girl. hehehe.... those guys are few and far far far between. not all of us ani fans have hairy armpits:) |
