DRAMA GEEK!!!
I spent every waking moment in the theatre. Lead in the school musical, performing monologues and skits for arts nights, dancing in school assemblies, helping run during and after school concerts. You name it, if it was on stage, I did it. |

hmmm... I was the person that you never knew was in any of you classes until test day, yet still got really good grades, and all of the teachers liked me despite my lack of attendance, I also was super sporty (netball, basketball, volleyball, track and field, softball) until I broke my arm in grade 10. I was friendly with everyone, but only had a small group of 2 or 3 really good friends, and mostly hung out with ppl from different schools or who had already graduated..

i was the girl that coloured her hair so often, and in every colour of the fricken' rainbow that her family thought she would get cancer. i was also a hardcore raver at the time which pretty much killed any hope for the below.
i was in plays, into acting, and directing. apart of the newspaper club, yearbook committee, ultimate frisbee club (cuz it's not a sport!), the outdoor club, and always used to go on snowboard trips. |

I was the fricken geek (still am in some ways!)... My grades weren't stellar but I was definitely a goody-goody. Really didn't get into anything bad until I graduated. I will give myself props though cause I had a hot girlfriend all through-out highschool - for like 3.5 years.
I used to run the school store, I was also the Assistant to the Chef/Instructor (took Chef's training for three years from grade 10 through 12) so I spent a ton of time in the teaching kitchen. So another words, the teachers pet. As far as body type, I looked completely different. People that see me today can't believe it's me. This was especially evident when I was weight training after I gradded like 6 days/week and was weighing in at like 185lbs - this was about 2 years ago. Ya see after that hot girlfriend and I broke up (and while I was going out with her I was a pale bean pole with a gut - I weighed like 145lbs at my height), I started training like crazy. I gained all that in muscle mass... I have kept some of my size but lost a ton of it when I caught pneumonia last year. Werd. |

in high school i was the quiet yet wacky queer kid who wrote poetry and spent most of his time outside of class in vancouver (i grew up in coquitlam) where i would do my homework at dv8. i did work for the school newspaper but was discouraged by the limitations created by politics, so i used their equipment to create my own zine which circulated around the school. i was rarely in class (a habit formed in the nightmare called junior high) but showed up for exams and managed to enough courses to graduate. like stina, i was seen as the freaky big panted coloured hair kid who liked toys and acted half-his-age. unlike stina, the kids didn't have a name for my style because raves weren't mainstream and my style was influenced by the ravers who i spent time with outside of class, even though i did not attend my first party until almost a year after graduation

No one really knew me in school. Anyone that wore more than 75% black was considered a freak, I was the only one that wore phat pants, and people would try to front their 'raver-ness' to me. On occassion you would see me with wings, my friend bought me $125 feather wings, there's no way I'm letting those go to waste. And on busy days, me plowing through the crowd with a frilly pink umbrella... we were much over packed at my school.
Wasn't in any clubs, didn't go to any school events, etc. Needless to say, I hated highschool and everyone and everything associated with it. I always had my hair colored, dressed like I do now... I was really skrawy some point in grade 8, then I got kinda chubby.... and now I'm just uhhh whatever I am now. |

i was the fat kid.
but look at me now! i was the same as i am now. i was on the grad committee and student council and i ran track and played soccer....and yeah. i was just...like ho wi am now. and i was voted most outrageous as well in the class votes thing. and i kinda hate to admit it butmy school wasn't really cliquy...but we did have certain groups and although i tried to be nice most of the time...sometimes i was really snobby or mean to some kids (ie the kids who used to eat lunch with mr.close the chemistry teacher? who the shit does that?!?!). but then again...who wasnt a little rotten in high school? |

hmmmm.... well i was into sports in my earlier years but that was over when i shattered my ankle.... but other than that i had alotta fun... didnt really have any enemies towards the end although i cant say i was always well behaved =p.... got in trouble quite a few times... hehehe but i guess those are all funny times to just laugh about now... till grade 11 i was getting seriously mediocre grades since i didnt really care, which definetly didnt help at all.... i managed to stay on honour roll till the end which was good since that got me into ubc but i wish i was more on the academic side of things rather than fuckin around most of the time =p but i guess i can think back to high school and smile about it =)

I played sports basketball, soccer, was gonna play football but soccer got in the way of that and I grew up playing soccer my whole life .......I still do. The groups I hung around with, whether my own age or older were the more popular kids in school. For the last 2 years, grade 11 and 12 I started smoking a lot of weed and chilled with the stoner crew, they were a bit older than me.
A trouble maker????.......I'd say when I got older, when we were younger we caused shit but not that much. Then in grade 10-12 we kinda realized that the staff of our school wasn't as powerful as they portrayed themselves to be. The teachers really liked our grade and hadn't liked any grade in the past 4 years. But then we turned out to be like the rest and in the end they hated us. A sk8ter kid? Hell no, I didn't really like them and hated the music, the ones in our school acted like outcasts and like they were too cool for anyone els, real mouthy fucks, except for some of the chicks, I don't mind some sk8ter chicks. I grew up listening to Rap, Hip-Hop, some RnB..........back in grade 1 I got my frist rap tape and in grade 3 got my first cd. One of my best friends was big on Rap and Hip-Hop and knew a whole bunch of the history and stuff on it so we'd talk about that shit at lunch hour in elementary like every day. Ever since I've loved the music. Then in grade 11 was introduced to raves and electronica and I like all kinds of electronica but my favorite without a doubt is breaks, nothings better than break beats. |

I was the typical Chinese supergeek who's parents owned the corner store.
Went to Argyle in N. Van when it was one of the top 5 schools in BC. Because of that I was enrolled in all academics, heavy in mathematics and science, no social life and working in the store when I'm not studying. Excelled in track and tennis and was never part of the in crowd. Basically nothing has changed since I graduated. |

I was the roamer...never part of a specific crowd. I hated high school with a passion. By the time I graduated, I went to 5 different high schools. At first, I was athletic...v-ball, b-ball, track and field...and then, I just became totally uninvolved with the school events, politics, etc. Just kinda drifted off into the background, just the way I like it.

I was me. I floated from crowd to crowd...I wasn't popular, i wasn't unpopular. I wasn't an art geek (although i wanted to be). or a band geek or drama freak. I just...floated around.
By grade 11 (1998)I was the "girl who dressed kinda weird (w/ big pants), having started hanging out with a few partykids, i enjoyed the nice big roomy pants...went to vancouver alot.. in anycase, i wasn't very 'weird' compared to the skids...and by the end of grade 12 (2000). it was just me and a couple friends who went off to vancouver and did our own thing on the weekends... Yah...highschool sucked. boring boring boring. |

Meh i was a cheerleader for my first 3 years and a drama geek for the last 3.....also i danced whenever i got the chance; talent shows, on stage in plays, whenever! I don't really know where I fit in...also in grade 11 I started going to raves which got me hanging around more of the ravers in my school. Cheerleading and drama kept me sane. :P

i dont know if its that calm but i dont know whut it was like when you went there tho. i was there not last skool year but the one before. i had judy and joyce for teachers. i just didn't agree with alot of their methods. plus i didn't understand the point of going there all we would do is sit in class do nothing and wait for the next therapy session. i had to go to art, music, normal and drug and alcohol therapy haha all bcuz i got caught smokin a blunt at lunch, and bcuz my "situation" was "too much for me too handle on my own" lmao what gives them the ability to know that? i thought the skool was just all around weird and creepy. felt like twilight zone to me. there is no way kids should be that p~noid when goin to smoke a blunt on their lunch break these kids acted like they'd be whipped! |
