sean...im in the same boat as you are.
i only know one person who's running in my district.. i would re-elect my mayor... but i dont know anything about any of the candidates and i dont like being an uninformed voter...so im choosing not to vote in this election.

Myra...those were exactly the points I was gonna make but was too sleepy to do so...LOL...went to take nap afta post...excersizing one's democratic rights is tiring work indeed *yawn*...
But yeah...so many of the ppl voting are old(er) cuz not only do they make their voices heard but they back it up when the time comes...which is why there's so much of this 'not in my backyard' bs around...the reason no-one listens to the interests of youth (geez, do I even count as youth if I'm past the big three-oh? - oh, well, I live young) is cuz no-one cares and the reason no-one cares is we don't give them a reason to care.

Oh and next up is a 300% increase in our hydro bills! Just remember to thank the BC Liberals!!

Sh4wn - The reason they spend it on stuff U don't care about is cuz U don't tell them what U DO care about - U let others tell them what they care about, and guess what - a lot of those 'others' not only don't care about the same stuff U do, but they don't care about U.
Kisimata...just a thought...if one is old enuf to vote then one is 'grown up'...even if they (and I'm not picking on sh4wn here) don't act it. Nolan is right...I remember seeing Oakenfold @ Raverside years ago...that would never happen now. At PJJam 2 the cops effectively just threw everyone on the street, didn't care if they were high or drunk or how they would get back...wasn't their problem. They wanna send a message...and its already tough for partiers to send one back since so many of them are too young to vote...if the ones that can don't bother, then they tell the city thats its ok to stay the course, full speed ahead!
