What police are doing to catch aggressive drivers

Some unmarked police vehicles are driving around the lower mainland with "N" signs in their back windows. They're driving in the fast lane at the posted speed limit and are waiting for other drivers to pass them and keep on speeding...How do you feel about this, those who are driving?

It's a good thing, in a way, speaking from an "N" driver(for the past 3 years) because we have to go through this whole thing with 'experienced drivers' treating us like we shouldn't be on the road. HOWEVER, I think it's a bad thing because I, myself drive a bit over the speed limit on the highway at times(not too much though) and also it's making the police out to be very sneaky sneaky. So I guess we just have to watch out on the road even closer.

I have pretty much the same opinion as you...mixed emotions. In some ways it is a very beneficial tactic to both young drivers and non-aggressive drivers...but on the other hand, everyone has their 'days'.

AND ABOUT THAT DAMN 'N'....! Which I figure I will NEVER get rid of because it is too much of a pain in the ASS to go take that RETARDED test.... WHY the fuck do we have these??? Where else in the WORLD do people have to put signs up on their cars to signify that they are NEW drivers?! And if someone keeps their 'N' for FOUR years, why are they still regarded as NEW drivers?! The whole concept of 'labeling' us as "new drivers" with a big neon green "N" is, in essence, the same method that the Nazi's used when branding Jews....it isn't right! ARGH.

Hahaha....sorry, just a beef.

I dont think that its right for the popo to do that. Thats why they call it "the fast lane." Its for going fast!! Damb cops, people who are recless drivers......then its all good. But people just doin a little over the limit, when its safe. Fuck it. Let em go! Thanks what I think anyways!

That is really sneaky, but wutever, I don't really care. I got pulled over 4 speeding a couple weeks ago so i've been watching my speed a lot more carefully. N's are so dumb! I keep putting off getting my class 5 cuz I really don't care when I get it, it won't make much of a difference to me.

I have the same beef as you Starberry. We could also have that "N" for the rest of our lives, and we'd still be considered new drivers. They aren't making anybody take the next test up, we could all be driving with the "N" for the rest of our lives.
I think I'll take the test though. Just to get rid of the N...I just don't think it's fair to have to pay that much to take the second road test. My boyfriend took the test though, and he said it was okay. About 45 minutes long...you just have to make sure you're doing everything right.

Skotty: Do you know that if you ever get stopped by the police they can fine you for not having that N in the window in the place where it's supposed to be (the left side of the car/window).

ive had my N for 3 years now no plan to get rid of it sooon haha

heh..ive had my N for three and a half years..what the fuck is the point, ive never been in an accident, never got a ticket..they should just give me a class five. heh, i have to renew my licence in a couple of months, maybe i should take the test then, but the problem is i just have the time. plus my speedometer only works intermitanatly so they won't even let me take the test in my own car until i fix that.

heh i gotta aircare my car too..fuckin insurence runs out on saturday, another cash grab from the government.

FOLKS. THIS IS NOTHING

RICHMOND COUNCIL WANTS TO PROPOSE A NEW PLAN:

a) 2 X CHOPPERS
reason: cut down on racers (and miscellaneous reasons in fine print like speeding, running red lights)
why 2?
so when one needs to re.fuel, the other can take it's spot if not, then both are out "watching" you.

b) Intersection cameras
reason: basically for people who run reds and more ASIAN racers hahaha

can u guess how much this would cost? 2 choppers, cameras, wages, chopper fuel/parts/maintenance,

i thot the city of vancouver cut down on the cost of intersection cameras kuz dey were too faulty.. and now richmond wants it?

i saw a mini van with the "n" it pulled over some guy ...

the mini van was challenging the other guy to go faster ... i think its sick that they are allowed to drive around with "n"s and fool people into thinking that they are normal people

onyl part of the back of my car that is magnetic is my trunk lid and it just flies off there if i go over 30 heh
so i have eto put it on my glass...
...which is tinted
but hey, i talked to a cop, technically its all good as long as its up
even though u cant see it for the life of you, its on lil suction cups behind the tint

they do drive civics, as well as WRX's, mazda pickups, if you only knew how many undercover unmarked cop cars there are. just look for the big antenna, it's the only giveaway. besides that we're shit out of luck. and it won't be long before they find a way around having an antenna that sticks out from the rest
